Mahindra Unveils the BE 6 SPORTEQ: A New Era in Electric SUVs
With a focus on delivering cutting-edge technology and a sporty driving experience, Mahindra has launched the BE 6 SPORTEQ series, a significant evolution in its electric SUV lineup. The new series introduces a range of features designed to enhance connectivity, personalization, and driving dynamics, appealing to a diverse set of customers.
Innovative Features and Design
The BE 6 SPORTEQ series is available in eight variants and 12 color options, including new shades like Rosso Impulso and Firestorm Orange Satin. The series is designed to offer a range of performance and technology experiences, with models like the Launch Edition boasting a unique Graphite Storm exterior and Racing Tan leatherette interiors.
Key to the series is the introduction of a three-screen digital cockpit and the integration of six new TEQ Suites powered by Mahindra’s AI architecture, MAIA. These suites are designed to make the vehicle more intuitive and engaging, with features such as TEQ_Talk, built with Google Gemini, allowing for natural interactions through AI agents.
Performance and Technology
Every variant of the SPORTEQ series includes advanced technology features, with updates available to existing BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S models through over-the-air updates starting in January 2027. The Formula E Freedom Edition, inspired by Mahindra’s successes in Formula E, offers a race-inspired cockpit and exclusive performance features like Acceleration Boost, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 6.44 seconds.
TEQ Suites: Enhancing the Driving Experience
The six TEQ Suites offer a wide array of features:
- TEQ_Talk: Enhances connectivity through AI-driven interactions, supporting various functions like navigation and music.
- TEQ_Play: Provides interactive experiences, including karaoke and in-car gaming, marking Mahindra as the first OEM in India to offer these features.
- TEQ_Drive: Focuses on driving dynamics with intelligent vehicle controls that include Custom Drive Mode and Drift Mode.
- TEQ_Secure: Elevates safety with features like Secure360 Pro and a Digital Car Key ecosystem across multiple devices.
Market Launch and Availability
The BE 6 SPORTEQ is priced starting at ₹11.45 lakh with Battery as a Service (BaaS) and ₹19.45 lakh with the standard battery. Deliveries are set to begin on August 26, 2026, coinciding with the festival of Onam, offering customers a timely opportunity to experience this next-generation electric SUV.
