US Organisation Gets IACET Accreditation for Offshore Wind Training Programmes

Oceantic Network, an organization in the US offshore renewable energy sector, has been accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). This certifies Oceantic Network to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for its offshore wind training programs.

The organization provides three main training programs aimed at preparing businesses and professionals for the US offshore wind industry: Offshore Wind 101, Offshore Wind Ready, and Foundation 2 Blade.

Offshore Wind 101 is an introductory course that gives businesses a comprehensive overview of industry operations, supply chain roles, and potential market entry pathways. Offshore Wind Ready is a one-day workshop for companies interested in entering the sector, covering project basics, supply chain opportunities, certification requirements, and initial steps.

Through the Foundation 2 Blade program, Oceantic offers detailed multi-day training, guiding companies through all offshore wind development phases, from permitting and manufacturing to installation and operations. This course helps businesses identify optimal positions for their products or services within the supply chain and includes strategy tools, networking opportunities, and access to a growing alumni community for long-term engagement.

Oceantic Network states that its new IACET accreditation, a strategic priority for 2025, ensures that all education and training programs meet top standards for continuing education.

Participants who complete the courses can now earn CEUs recognized by employers, licensing authorities, and certification bodies nationwide. These units are transferable among cooperating organizations, increasing their value across career transitions and employer changes, according to Oceantic.

“IACET accreditation is a milestone for Oceantic Network and endorses the quality and rigor of our training offerings,” said Liz Burdock, CEO of Oceantic Network.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to offering trusted credentials supporting professional growth and industry progress. It benefits our members and the offshore wind workforce.”
