Significant Investment in Local Clean Energy
San Diego Community Power and San Diego Foundation have announced a $750,000 investment in clean energy projects across the region. Nonprofits and tax-exempt organizations are invited to apply by March 6 at 5 p.m. PT for the Community Clean Energy Grants program aimed at promoting clean energy, green jobs, and sustainability initiatives in San Diego. Stay updated through their LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
Participate in the MTS Fare Change Survey
The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is considering changes to fares and services due to a budget deficit, potentially affecting transit quality in San Diego. Surveys frequently indicate that riders prefer fare increases to service cuts. MTS is currently gathering public feedback on these proposed fare changes.
SDSU Mission Valley River Park: A Community Gem
The SDSU Mission Valley River Park is an ideal location for events, offering excellent active transportation links close to the newly renovated trolley plaza at MTS Stadium Station. Featuring a 2-mile hike and bike loop, the park connects to SDSU with 1.5 miles of dedicated bike lanes.
