In a significant move towards integrating traditional automotive sales with modern digital platforms, Ford Motor Co. will begin offering its certified pre-owned vehicles through Amazon Autos starting November 17. This initiative marks a step forward in how consumers can access Ford’s used car inventory, blending online convenience with trusted car certifications.
The Dearborn automaker has confirmed that customers interested in purchasing used vehicles can now conveniently shop, finance, finalize purchases, and arrange pick-ups for Ford Blue Advantage certified pre-owned cars via Amazon Autos. Initially, this service will be available in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, with plans to broaden its reach to more cities in the near future.
According to Ford spokesperson Said Deep, the program is voluntary for dealers, with over 160 showing interest across the nation. “We have dealers in Michigan who have already raised their hand,” Deep noted, adding that as Amazon expands, more dealers are expected to join.
Ford aims to streamline the buying process by allowing customers to take care of initial steps online, thus saving time at dealerships and enhancing the in-person experience. Robert Kaffl, Ford’s executive director of U.S. Sales and Dealer Relations, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Amazon Autos allows Ford Dealers to offer their certified pre-owned vehicles through Amazon’s accessible digital platform, while maintaining the benefits that customers enjoy from their relationships of our Ford dealers.”
Launched in December 2024 with new Hyundai vehicles, Amazon Autos has been expanding its offerings. By August 2025, it included used and certified pre-owned vehicles from various brands (source). Fan Jin, global leader of Amazon Autos, highlighted the importance of this expansion: “The addition of Ford certified pre-owned vehicles to Amazon Autos represents an exciting expansion of our store, giving customers access to thousands of quality vehicles backed by Ford’s comprehensive inspection and warranty programs.”
How Amazon Autos Operates
The Amazon Autos storefront (www.amazon.com/amazon-autos) connects buyers with participating Ford dealers nationwide. Buyers can search for Ford Blue Advantage certified pre-owned vehicles within a 75-mile radius of their location, filtering by make, model, year, and color.
Each vehicle listing includes detailed information such as price, history, and specifications, facilitating comparison shopping from any device. Once a vehicle is chosen, customers can apply for financing, begin paperwork, and schedule a pick-up with their local dealer.
