CAPE Holland and GBM Works have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop and commercialize Vibrojet, a technology for installing offshore wind monopile foundations that combines vibratory driving with controlled water jetting.
The firms aim to have Vibrojet available commercially by 2027 as an integrated solution for offshore wind projects.
The technology was tested earlier this year by installing three monopile foundations at the Hollandse Kust West offshore wind farm to demonstrate its effectiveness.
“The successful installation at Hollandse Kust West is a significant milestone for Vibrojet. By combining our expertise, we can speed up the global deployment of this proven technology,” stated Govert Meijer, CEO at GBM Works.
Vibrojet aims to reduce installation time and underwater noise compared to traditional methods, while potentially decreasing costs and improving the levelised cost of energy.
In the partnership, GBM Works will continue developing Vibrojet, conducting feasibility studies and managing marketing. CAPE Holland will focus on developing Vibro Lifting Technology and offshore project execution.
The firms intend to offer a comprehensive solution covering design, engineering, installation, and optimization, adapting to various ground conditions.

The collaboration will be formalized through license and long-term agreements soon.
