This acquisition marks a significant expansion for FlexGen, integrating CES’s expertise in battery energy storage systems and utility-scale solar services into its existing operations.
FlexGen has incorporated the CES teams responsible for commissioning and long-term system services, enhancing its service offerings. This integration will allow FlexGen to accelerate the delivery of battery storage projects and improve the performance of systems, ensuring greater reliability for clients over the long term.
The acquisition also aligns CES’s solar operations with FlexGen’s solar and hybrid asset performance initiatives, thereby broadening the scope of FlexGen’s service platform. As a result, authorized service provider roles have been incorporated into FlexGen’s original equipment manufacturer partner program.
Established in 2022, CES will now operate as a subsidiary of FlexGen. While existing service agreements with CES clients will remain unchanged, these clients will gain potential access to FlexGen’s advanced energy management platform, providing additional benefits.
Despite the acquisition, CES will continue to manage its remote operations center in Houston, overseeing a considerable portfolio of solar and battery storage capacities. Concurrently, FlexGen will maintain its operations center in Durham to provide continuous monitoring and support services.
