RWE has revised its 2026 earnings forecast for the Offshore Wind division upward after reporting unexpectedly strong early-year results due to increased electricity generation under favorable wind conditions.
Preliminary figures indicate RWE’s Offshore Wind segment will achieve an adjusted EBITDA of EUR 810 million for the first half of 2026, compared to EUR 643 million in the same period last year.
The company credits this growth to higher production volumes as wind conditions returned to normal, overcoming unusually weak conditions in early 2025. Following this performance, RWE raised its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance for the Offshore Wind division by EUR 100 million, now ranging from EUR 1.65 billion to EUR 2.15 billion.
For 2027, the company has also increased its offshore wind guidance by EUR 100 million, bringing the range to EUR 2 billion-EUR 2.5 billion.
Overall, RWE reported a preliminary adjusted EBITDA of EUR 3 billion for the first half of 2026, with an adjusted net income of EUR 1.3 billion, surpassing market expectations. The company attributed this to strong operational performance, increased earnings from a larger stake in [transmission system operator Amprion](https://www.amprion.net/), compensation in its Flexible Generation business, and higher international power generation earnings.
RWE recently completed its acquisition of indirect shares in Amprion, a transaction finalized after receiving clearance from the German Federal Cartel Office on 17 July. With this, RWE now holds a 55 percent share in Amprion.
“Our preliminary results for the first half of 2026 exceeded market expectations. For the second half, we anticipate further earnings growth, particularly from our increased stake in transmission system operator Amprion and higher international power generation earnings,” said Michael Müller, CFO of RWE AG.
“These are key drivers for our increased earnings guidance for both 2026 and 2027. We confirm our dividend target of €1.32 per share for 2026 and aim for a 10% annual dividend increase through 2031.”
RWE plans to release its final results for the first half of 2026 on 13 August.
