Internship Opportunity: Environmental Science & Climate Change
GSG offers an internship for early-career professionals in Environmental Science & Climate Change. Interns will gain practical experience by supporting multidisciplinary teams in various consulting projects. This role is designed to provide exposure to fieldwork, research, and stakeholder engagement, thereby nurturing technical competencies in environmental consulting.
Responsibilities
Project Support and Administration
The intern will assist in the logistical and administrative aspects of projects, ensuring seamless coordination between teams. They will track deliverables and maintain documentation for effective project management.
Technical and Fieldwork Assistance
Under supervision, interns will engage in fieldwork activities such as baseline surveys and environmental monitoring. They will participate in data collection and contribute to field reports, honing skills in assessment and monitoring.
Research and Reporting
The internship involves conducting literature reviews and preparing technical reports with maps, tables, and charts. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this task.
Stakeholder and Community Engagement
Interns will aid in preparing materials for public meetings and consultations, gaining insights into stakeholder dynamics and public engagement processes.
Business Development Support
In this capacity, interns will help with updating staff CVs, managing project databases, and supporting proposal development, gaining an understanding of how consulting firms position themselves in the market.
