Føn Energy Services has commenced its busiest offshore wind season yet, with inspection and repair operations underway at 14 offshore wind farms in the Netherlands, Scotland, Germany, and Poland.
The company has deployed technicians, vessels, diving teams, ROV spreads, and survey equipment for inspections above and below water across wind farms in the North Sea and Baltic Sea for the 2026 season.
This year marks the start of Føn’s five-year agreement with Eneco on six Dutch offshore wind farms, where work has begun. The contract includes Borssele 3&4, Borssele 5, Eneco Luchterduinen, Hollandse Kust Noord, Hollandse Kust West VI, and Prinses Amaliawindpark.
Føn continues its work for Vattenfall and Shell at Offshore Windpark Egmond aan Zee (OWEZ), the Netherlands’ first offshore wind farm.
In Scotland, Føn is progressing with its third year of inspections for Ocean Winds at the Moray East and Moray West projects.
On 12 May, the company announced it began operations in the German sectors of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.
Føn’s project portfolio involves over 900 offshore wind assets, supplying electricity to around 10 million households, marking the largest inspection campaign in its history.
For the 2026 campaigns, Føn will inspect subsea structures, monopiles, scour protection, cable protection systems, turbine foundations, and hard-to-access above-water assets. Technicians utilize specialized software for boat landings, platforms, internal structures, and safety components.
The company has increased its technician workforce, investing in training, partnerships, and mobilization capabilities from its bases in the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and the UK.

Føn Energy Services was established in 2022 by Norway-based Akastor ASA and IKM Industrial Group. In 2024, the company acquired C-Ventus, a Dutch offshore wind services company, to enhance its operations and maintenance capabilities.
