Revamped Elegance: The 2027 Bentley Flying Spur Unveiled
The world of luxury sedans welcomes a fresh face with the introduction of the newly redesigned 2027 Bentley Flying Spur. This ultra-luxury sedan now mirrors its two-door sibling, boasting a refined single-headlight design that harks back to Bentley’s classic models from the early 1960s.
In addition to its aesthetic transformation, the latest Flying Spur is packed with impressive upgrades. It offers enhanced power and a variety of seating configurations, along with a top-tier sound system. The starting price for this opulent vehicle is expected to exceed $250,000 when it becomes available later this year.
The 2027 Flying Spur’s exterior is characterized by a single headlight on each side of its expansive grille, a design choice that aligns it with the Continental GT. This marks a significant shift for Bentley, as it’s the first sedan to feature this look since 1962. The sedan’s elegant bodywork includes a more unified front bumper, a redesigned trunk lid, and contemporary taillights, complemented by new 22-inch wheels. Additionally, buyers can choose between the sophisticated Azure model or the sportier S variant, which features darker trim.
Performance-wise, the Flying Spur S is designed to thrill, with a revamped chassis and drivetrain that cater to racing enthusiasts. Notably, it includes an electronic limited-slip rear differential, a 48-volt electromechanical anti-roll system, and torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, technologies borrowed from the Speed and Mulliner models.
Under the hood, the standard Flying Spurs continue to use a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine paired with a hybrid system, delivering a robust 671 horsepower and 686 pound-feet of torque. Bentley claims this powertrain can propel the car from zero to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 191 mph.
Inside, the Flying Spur impresses with luxurious materials and advanced technology. For the first time, a five-seat configuration is available, with Bentley highlighting the meticulous craftsmanship involved in creating the fluted or quilted seat inserts, a process that takes 12 hours. For audiophiles, Bentley offers a high-end audio experience through its Virtuoso Collection, featuring a 21-speaker Naim sound system and opulent interior details, including Champagne Gold accents.
Although Bentley has not yet released the official pricing for the 2027 Flying Spur lineup, production is set to commence this September at the brand’s Crewe, England factory. Enthusiasts can expect to see pricing details soon.
