The agreement, meant to boost the offshore wind industry and revitalize the Daebul Industrial Complex, was signed with South Jeolla Province, Jindo County, Yeongam County, and Yuil Co., Ltd., a local offshore wind equipment supplier.

Pacifico Energy Korea aims to develop a supply chain for key components like turbines and foundations, secure rear port sites, and lead clustering of related industries, including establishing an offshore wind operation and maintenance center.

The signing took place during the “2025 Jeollanam-do Offshore Wind Industry Expo” hosted by Jeollanam-do and the Jeonnam Wind Power Association.

“Pacifico Energy Korea is committed to expanding partnerships with local supply chain companies to advance the 3.2GW Jindo Offshore Wind Project Cluster and support Jeollanam-do’s offshore wind industry,” said Seung-Ho Choe, Representative Director of Pacifico Energy Korea.

“This agreement with Yuil is the first step in building partnerships with local suppliers and elevating the province’s offshore wind industry status in the Asia-Pacific market.”

The Jindo offshore wind project includes three wind farms with a total capacity of 3.2 GW, enough to power three million households.

The initial phase, 420 MW Myeong Ryang Offshore Wind, is currently in the power generation licensing process.

The second phase, 990 MW Manho Offshore Wind, along with the third phase, 1.8 GW Jindo Baram Offshore Wind, have completed wind resource assessments and are preparing for licensing.
